This is a study that offers an alternative method to traditional literary practices. The method is entitled disformalism, which understands literary analysis as a type of accommodation and conceives of the critic and teacher as an accommodator. It explores the connections between literary studies and disability studies and explains how literary studies can contribute to social justice goals.
