Air handling units are major energy consumers within the commercial building sector. In order to reduce the energy usage of air handling units many research projects have explored demand-controlled ventilation (DCV) as a strategy to conserve energy for air handling units. This research expands the scope of DCV strategies by investigating models related to an air handling unit's heat exchange coil. Furthermore, the research investigated the sensors related to implementing DCV strategies and analyzing the models to assess energy savings in real-time.
